RoutineChan Privacy Policy

Heartius Lab (“we,” “us,” or “our”) establishes this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) regarding the handling of user information in the application “RoutineChan” (“App”). Last updated: September 14, 2026

1. About this Policy

RoutineChan is an app that lets users organize multiple destinations into a “Baton” and move through them in sequence using features such as Live Activities and Dynamic Island.

This Policy explains what information the App handles and for what purposes. The App is designed not to send content created by the user, such as Baton names, URLs, or shortcut names, to our servers as anonymous usage data.

2. Scope of this Policy

This Policy applies to the App and the functions and support services provided by us in connection with the App.

The handling of information by external apps, websites, Apple Shortcuts, the App Store, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, and other external services accessed through the App is governed by the terms and privacy policies of their respective providers.

3. Information Handled on the Device

The App may store and use the following information on the device:

• Baton information: Baton names, destinations, order, and other settings
• Destination information: names, URLs, shortcut names, and other settings
• App settings: anonymous usage data sharing ON/OFF, onboarding status, and other settings
• Local usage records: usage histories stored on the device for App features and usage review

Content entered by the user, such as Baton names, URLs, and shortcut names, is not sent to our servers as anonymous usage data.

4. Anonymous Usage Data

Anonymous usage data is sent only when the user has explicitly consented within the App. The default setting is OFF.

Sharing can be turned ON or OFF at any time from the guidance shown after onboarding or from the settings screen.

When consent is given, the following anonymous usage data is sent:

• Randomly generated installation ID
• Event ID
• Operation type (destination added, destination launched, Skip, Baton started, completed, stopped, replaced, etc.)
• Date and time of occurrence
• Time of day
• Official catalog ID
• Pseudonymized ID assigned to user-added destinations
• Pseudonymized ID assigned to Batons
• Position within a Baton
• Number of segments in a Baton
• App version

This information is used to aggregate App usage, improve functions, and enhance quality.

Installation IDs and pseudonymized identifiers are not associated with direct personal identifiers such as names, email addresses, or Apple IDs.

5. Information Not Sent as Anonymous Usage Data

The App does not send the following information as anonymous usage data:

• Names
• Email addresses
• Apple ID
• IDFA
• Baton names
• URLs
• Shortcut names
• Other free-form text input
• Lists of installed apps
• Raw UserBaton UUIDs
• Raw UserDestination UUIDs

Anonymous usage data is not used for the purpose of advertising delivery, advertising effectiveness measurement, or cross-service tracking of users.

6. When Anonymous Usage Data Sharing Is Turned OFF

If the user turns anonymous usage data sharing OFF, the App will take the following actions:

• Stop sending new Analytics events
• Delete unsent data waiting in the queue
• Delete the installation ID
• Delete the installation secret
• Stop sending data to our servers

At the same time, local usage records stored on the device for App features and usage review may remain on the device. These local usage records are not sent to our servers as Analytics.

Data that was already sent before anonymous usage data sharing is turned OFF is not deleted immediately by the OFF operation. Anonymous usage data that has already been sent will be deleted in accordance with the retention period defined in “10. Data Storage Location and Retention.”

7. Transmission to External Services

The App may use the following external services for feature provision, subscription management, and the processing of anonymous usage data:

• RevenueCat: to verify App Store subscription status, process purchases, restore purchases, and verify entitlements for the paid plan “Golden RoutineChan.” The App does not create its own login accounts.
• Cloudflare: to receive, process, aggregate, and store anonymous usage data (using Cloudflare Workers and similar services)
• Apple / App Store: for app distribution, in-app purchases, management of auto-renewing subscriptions, and purchase restoration

Data processing and retention on the external services’ side are governed by the privacy policies and terms of use of those respective service providers.

8. Processing of Anonymous Usage Data Using Cloudflare

Anonymous usage data may be received, processed, aggregated, and stored through Cloudflare Workers and similar services.

Due to the nature of communications, information such as IP addresses may be handled on the Cloudflare side; however, we do not intentionally store IP addresses in our analytics dataset, nor do we combine them with anonymous usage data for the purpose of identifying users.

9. Subscription Information

The App uses the App Store and RevenueCat to provide its paid plan, “Golden RoutineChan.”

We may use purchase status, product information, entitlements, and other information necessary to provide paid features.

The App does not require registration of a name or email address for its own login system.

10. Data Storage Location and Retention

Batons, destinations, app settings, and similar data are stored mainly on the user’s device. These data may be lost if the App is deleted or the device is initialized.

Anonymous usage data is stored on Cloudflare. It is generally retained for one year from the date of collection and is automatically deleted after that period.

However, fully aggregated statistical information that has been disassociated from installation IDs and similar identifiers may continue to be used for trend analysis and service improvement.

Purchase information stored by RevenueCat, the App Store, and similar services is governed by the retention policies of those companies.

11. Third-Party Disclosure

We do not provide user information to third parties except when required by law, when the user has given consent, or when external services are used within the scope necessary to provide and operate the App.

Transmission to external services necessary for App operation is performed within the scope described in “7. Transmission to External Services.”

12. User Control and Deletion

Users can edit and delete Batons and destinations through operations within the App. Anonymous usage data sharing can also be turned ON or OFF at any time from the settings screen. For the behavior when sharing is turned OFF, see “6. When Anonymous Usage Data Sharing Is Turned OFF.”

Data stored on the device may be deleted when the App is deleted.

Purchase histories, logs, and other information stored on the external services’ side are managed according to the policies of those service providers.

13. Children’s Use

The App is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from users under the age of 13. If a person under the age of 13 uses the App, they should do so with parental consent and supervision.

If we become aware that we have unintentionally collected personal information regarding a user under the age of 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete or otherwise address that information promptly.

14. Security

We take reasonable security management measures, including encryption of communications, access control, and minimization of stored information, to appropriately manage user information.

In addition, the App is designed not to send content entered by the user, such as Baton names, URLs, or shortcut names, as Analytics.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Policy in response to changes in laws, additions to or changes in App features, changes in external services, or other circumstances.

If this Policy is changed, the updated version will be posted on this page and, where necessary, announced through the App or on our website.
