Heartius Lab ("we," "our," or "us") operates the mobile application "Maia Walk" ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Last updated: January 17, 2026

1. Information We Collect

Our App may collect and transmit the following information:

• Location Information (approximate/precise location): For spot suggestions, map display, and notifications
• Advertising Identifiers (IDFA/AAID), Device Information, App Usage Data: For ad delivery, effectiveness measurement, fraud prevention, and quality improvement
• Log Information (crashes, performance, screen transitions, etc.): For quality improvement

2. Third-Party Services

We use the following external services, and some of the above information may be sent to these services:

• Google AdMob (advertising)
• Firebase (analytics/crash reporting)
• Google Maps Platform (map display/location information)
• Gemini API (AI suggestions/text processing)

3. About Tracking

Our app respects user privacy and does not engage in tracking activities for the purpose of identifying individuals.

The app may use SDKs provided by Google and others (such as Firebase Authentication, Firebase Analytics, etc.) for the following limited purposes:

• Providing app features and user authentication
• Anonymous usage analysis for quality improvement, bug analysis, and stability enhancement

Information obtained through these SDKs is not used for the purpose of identifying individuals or for cross-app/cross-service tracking for third-party ad delivery.

Tracking on iOS

In the iOS version of the app, we follow Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework and do not perform tracking without user permission. This app does not perform "tracking" as defined by ATT.

Tracking on Android

In the Android version of the app, we do not engage in tracking for advertising purposes or track user behavior across other companies' apps and websites. Furthermore, developers do not directly obtain, save, or share the Android Advertising ID (AAID).

If there are any changes to our tracking policy in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and notify users appropriately.

4. Location Information

This app collects location information only while the app is in use (foreground).
The collected location information is used for providing spot suggestions and displaying maps.

Access is based on the user's permission. You can enable, disable, or adjust the accuracy at any time in your device's "Settings > Location Services".

Background location access and notifications are not supported in the current version (we may consider introducing them in future updates).

5. Data Retention

We retain collected information for the period necessary to achieve the purpose or as required by law, whichever is longer. We delete unnecessary data appropriately.

6. User Rights (Access, Correction, Deletion)

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data.

7. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover such collection, we will promptly delete it.

8. International Data Transfer

Collected information may be processed and stored on servers managed by international service providers such as Google.

9. Security Measures

We implement reasonable security measures including communication encryption, access control, and log management.

10. Website Cookies

Our website may use minimal cookies. You can disable them in your browser settings.
